Is IPL scripted?
IPL is the Indian premier league which is probably considered a festival in India where cricket is religion, so could it be fake? One of the biggest conspiracy theory in India is that IPL is fake and scripted by some richest people in India. Is it true or just a myth.
IPL was first started in 2008 with some big names from the country getting ownership of the teams such as Shah rukh khan, Mukesh Ambani, Vijay Mallya, Shilpa Shetty, pretty Zinta, and a lot more millionaires were on the list as well. The whole country was going mad about the biggest franchise cricket league in the world with a lot of money getting involved in it.
IPL is by far the biggest franchise cricket league in the world and the reason for it being so famous is that it is short, glamorous, competitive, also the biggest names in cricket getting involved in it. Surely, it is a festival for all the cricket fans around the Globe.
But there is a conspiracy theory that the biggest franchise cricket league in the world IPL is scripted. In recent past few years the talk of
IPL being fake is running all over the internet and certain team owners are getting blamed for it.
If we look into the past cricket is always been a funny game where any team can win at any moment, be it South Africa’s loss in the 1999 world cup for a silly run-out or the Chennai super kings dramatic loss in the 2019 IPL final. The story of cricket is always been the same but there were also incidents where the game was fixed and there was enough proof of that.
But in the case of IPL being scripted, there is no proof, it is all speculation. cricket is not a game where you can fix a whole game cause there is a lot of skill needed to execute a shot in cricket and surely no one can execute a script for the whole 40 overs constantly.
Winning IPL is surely a big thing but why would some richest cricketer take money to fix a whole match in perfection while they could play it in perfection naturally and earn money legally. Also, it would be really difficult to manage 100 athletes at the same time, surely it doesn’t seem logical at all.
So, the biggest franchise cricket league in the world IPL being fake is just a conspiracy theory with no proof to back it.
